Founded by Shane Wierks in 2008, SMRE Group was originally launched as a consulting firm to assist in all different aspects of the retail real estate industry. Since the start, Shane has been involved in closing over $375,000,000 in transactions, and continues to service clients on a regional level to institutional level. The company offers many services throughout its many divisions which include retail leasing and advisory, investment sales which range from assisting with 1031 exchange placements to traditional asset acquisitions for investors, asset analysis which include understanding market voids to a particular asset to a complete repositioning analysis, and expanding its services recently to assist in today’s modern trends of franchise growth and development.
In addition to these core services, the company has been involved in developing and expanding their own commercial real estate portfolio division with other equity partners and joint ventures. To date, SMRE Group in partnership owns approximately 350,000 square feet of commercial real estate within the NY/NJ tri-state area. Asset classes range from retail, industrial, office, and hospitality.
